Well “Konrad Zuse”, it’s people like you that made SkyNet, and now we’re all in danger. Thanks alot .

  16. MouseTart says:

The Internet existed way before graphical browsers like Mosaic and Netscape came into use. It’s those browsers that made the Internet more suitable to the common people instead of universities and government. CompuServe and other services definitely existed way before, I remember those days, dialing up into a BBS and communicating with other users on whatever help or tech forum you wanted.

  17. MouseTart says:

OMG where you born 15 years ago? You’re the ignorant dweeb not bothering to do your research of the type of personal computers available in 1981. I was in engineering school at the time and remember the birth of more personal type computers. Vacuum tube-based computers were in museums. The first personal sized computers were available for us nerds in mid-to late 1970’s with Intel’s 8080 microchip. IBM’s PC was sold in 1981 and I had one in 1984 (after my Compaq personal computer and Vic20).

Love how the advertising was so deceptive. Not much changes.

  19. Monty1994 says:

The best line is “it’s like the regular newspaper but without pictures or adds” at about :47.

That sounds exactly like newspapers today, without adds

  20. Monty1994 says:

buddy he is mocking you, don’t be so dense. the original statement was a line from somewhere, i can’t remember exactly where, but i heard it before.

    laugh.

  21. devinhedge says:

Sadly I’ve owned both computers and used that service… in 1982.

  22. rjanis123 says:

who knew we were going to kill newspaper in the print form?
“. . .won’t be much competition for the street edition”
    great retro post ..
    Peace :):)

  23. HerbJon says:

In the 70s we bought a bunch of microchip and built the computers ourselves.. but you wouldn’t know anything about that now would you?

  24. RNParamedic03 says:

Wow! Looked all too familar, must be getting Old! Have used all that antique tech at one time or another.

  25. SMGrawks says:

The “micro chip”. Yeah okay ;0)
Yeah I’ll just go to the store and buy a microchip.
